This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, tryshowbeam.com, and use our AI Visibility and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) tracking tools.

By using our platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not access or use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as data gathered automatically during your visit.

• Account Information: When you join the waitlist, request a demo, or create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, company name, and CMS platform details.
• Audit Data: We collect and store your website URL, competitor domain names, and target keywords to query search engines and provide your AI Visibility Score report.
• Billing Data: Payment details are processed directly by our third-party billing processor (Stripe). We do not store credit card credentials on our servers.
• Usage Information: We automatically collect log files, IP addresses, device type, browser settings, and page activities via cookies to improve the dashboard user experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following business purposes:

• To set up and manage your ShowBeam account.
• To query AI assistants and engines to compile visibility reports and suggestions.
• To write SEO/AEO content tailored to your brand voice and auto-publish it to your site.
• To process subscription payments and send billing statements.
• To send product updates, technical notices, and priority customer support emails.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with trusted service providers essential for running our operations, including:

• Cloud hosting infrastructure (Vercel, AWS).
• AI model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini).
• Billing and subscription managers (Stripe).
• Email dispatch services (Postmark, Resend).

All providers are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and secure.

5. Google Account Data (Search Console & Analytics)

If you choose to connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics (GA4), ShowBeam asks Google for read-only access to your reports. Connecting is optional, and nothing is requested until you click Connect.

• What we request: the read-only scopes https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly (Search Console) and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly (Analytics). We cannot change anything in your Google accounts.
• What we use it for: only to show you your own search queries, clicks, impressions, landing pages and AI-referral sessions next to your AI visibility results inside ShowBeam, and to power the answers in your Ask AI chat about your own data.
• What we store: an encrypted refresh token and the name and ID of the property you selected. Report data is fetched from Google when you open the page and is not kept as a copy.
• Who sees it: only the members of your workspace. We do not sell Google user data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to train AI models. Our staff do not read it except where you ask for support, where required for security, or where the law requires.
• Your control: you can disconnect at any time from the Search Console or Analytics page in your dashboard, which deletes the stored token. You can also remove ShowBeam's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. If you delete your account, we delete the stored token and property details.

ShowBeam's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data Retention & Security

We employ industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, modification, or exposure.

We retain your account and audit history for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your plan or request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

7. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your geographic location, you have rights to access, copy, correct, or delete the personal data we store. You may also object to direct marketing or request restrictions on data processing.
